Consider updating the `config` repo according to local customizations

Applying the config as a Git submodule involved making some modifications on top of the content provided with config. Such places were marked with respective TODOs (search for them by the "Chords/issues/3" substring throughout the project's files).

These places need to be revised and a decision made about whether/how the config module needs to be updated to prevent having making such modifications in a project that integrates the config submodule.
