Guitar connects, but not showing inputs

After the whole GameInput Redist fiasco, my guitar connects, but RB4Mapper and clonehero dont recognize any inputs when buttons are pressed. Whenever I press start, this is all I get: "Created new RiffmasterViGEmMapper". My device manager has the riffmaster listed under Xbox Peripherals in device manager. Any feedback as to what could be causing this?

So I have no idea why, but completely uninstalling GameInput through the Installed Apps settings and then manually stopping GameInput Redist Service (which then promptly deleted itself) I got my Riffmaster to be picked up again.

Try this:

1. Shut down RB4InstrumentMapper (it'll crash otherwise)
2. Uninstall Microsoft GameInput through Installed Apps
3. Go to start and type Services or services.msc
4. Look for GameInput Redist Service and stop it, it might say it can't accept a command and then delete itself, this is fine
5. Make sure GameInput Service is started

Then try again.

Now, surely because of M$'s infinite wisdom, this issue will return after a reboot. If I find a way to stop that I'll update this post.

Can confirm that @SereninSparks 's fix does help with my version of this. Though like alluded to, it does return after a reboot...

It’s not in your settings, you get to services from the start menu.

This worked for me, not ideal but I'll take it!
