A question about refresh

Describe the problem
When the frame change, the e-link display has to refresh, the screen will turn white and black and then show the new frame. Even though it doesn't take lots of time, I still can't bear it. Could anyone give me some advice to reduce the refresh time or make it refresh smoothly?

Short of rewriting the whole thing to take advantage of screens with partial refresh, the best solution might be updating less often, so you're less likely to see the change.

Yes!!! It really helps me a lot.
I decide to buy a new version ink screen which claims it can refresh in less than 1 second. I will post the result after testing.

Same question but with a device that should work with partial refresh:

I have a 6inch-HD Waveshare E-paper (using IT8951), and it has the partial refresh function which is tested well using the official demo. But when I use SlowMovie it only does full refresh with flashes.

Since SlowMovie.py imports from robweber/omni-epd, and omni-epd dynamically loads GregDMeyer/IT8951 down the line, SlowMovie seems to load epd correctly as omni_epd.displays.waveshare_display.IT8951Display. So I went through the whole dependency files to find how can I call the draw_partial() function from the AutoDisplay class (located in IT8951/display.py, dynamically loaded), and pass it into IT8951Display by defining _display_partial() in the same manner as the existing _display().

No matter how I try, this attribute cannot be identified in SlowMovie.py. But the full-screen refresh works well initially, so I wonder if there are still dependency issues I didn't notice?
