Blank frames only when playing Apollo_11.mkv file

Describe the problem

I'm trying to play this movie called Apollo 11. Good movie by the way. I *ahem* somehow got a copy of an mkv file of the movie. No matter which frame in the movie is being shown, my screen just shows a black frame. Other files play fine. Other .mkv files play fine. This file plays fine on my Mac in VLC.

Steps to Reproduce

And I'm running this to play the video:

python slowmovie.py -f Videos/Apollo_11.mkv -s 2000

Platform information
Raspberry Pi 4 B
Screen: waveshare_epd.epd7in5_V2

Anyone have ideas why this is happening?

I also tried to change the name (to Apollo_11.mkv) in case that was a problem. Same behavior

Update I'm now having the same issue with a few other .mkvs
