Does iCloud Book Backup Require Pro Subscription?

I enabled the iCloud backup of book files setting but I don't see any files backed up.
I don't care about syncing progress with other devices.
Do I still need pro subscription for book files to get backed to iCloud?

hi @TunaBicim ! that setting is only so the actual files are included in any type of backup you do for your phone, there are some users who already have their files backed up elsewhere, so they prefer to leave that off and have the resulting backup take less space

I forgot to clarify, the pro subscription syncs up files and progress to our servers, not iCloud

Thanks for responding and for the clarifications.
I will turn the feature back off since I also keep the books backed up outside the app as well.
It makes perfect sense to use your own servers for pro.

Some audiobooks come with 1 mp3/4b file per chapter.
I usually import these as a collection so I was looking for a way to see if I could get the merged version exported using the backup feature.
Is there a way to achieve this without using another program?
