Rewind 15 seconds via hardware button

Hi All! This is pretty niche, but hear me out:
Way back when I had an old-fangled mp3 player ( as in, a thing in your pocket, not an app), I used it to listen to language lessons - a key feature was the ability to skip back around 10-15 seconds via a button, which allowed me to repeat certain words/parts of the lesson over and over. You might say "the app has that button on the screen" - but that's not at all the same: the whole point is the ability to have the device in your pocket or not constantly having the screen open while, say, taking a walk and just by the feel of it to press a button.

What am I proposing? To tell the truth, I don't know if it's even possible: one solution would be able to toggle the iphone's volume buttons and instead switch one of them to rewind, another would be to have the bluetooth headphone play/pause do that, and another would be to be able to map some bluetooth controller's button for that purpose.
