[SUGGESTION] "Legacy Modded Minecraft Versions"

Now I know it would be unreasonable to ask for you to back-port and maintain this mod it for every old Minecraft version, however there are a small handful of currently active modding versions that I think this mod should be back-ported to.
I'm suggesting just a simple bare-bones port to versions like 1.12.2, 1.7.10, 1.6.4 and any other common old modding versions, maybe fixing a few major bugs no more than once every couple of years if there are any.
Due to the fact that Optifine is notoriously incompatible with many mods this and EMF are pretty much the only option for most dynamic texture-packs when used with mods these days, many of which used to rely on Optifine, which breaks down and crashes as soon as you think about adding anything else to the game.

Does another mod also do this?
Optifine's the only one.

Does OptiFine do this?
Somewhat, but not with the mod compatibility focus ETF has.

while maintaining on older versions isn't as hard, its the initial porting that can take quite a while, i know ETF/EMF can be made to work on 1.12 at the very least it will still constitute many changes, least of which being having to remove all java 9+ QOL feature from all of my code and keep it that way forever, which I just don't want to do

While OptiFine does have its issues with mods, its still ultimately expected on older versions and even if ETF / EMF were to suddenly appear on these old versions the expectations would still remain for every mod developer to work around OptiFine
