Notifications on the Top Right for DM's are annoying

I think that the notifications on the top right whenever a user receives a DM should disappear upon the user entering those DM's rather than them staying up there for a long while, bouncing uselessly after I already read the dm. I'm very big on organization and I think the same should be done for mentions within servers/planets, as even after reading where you were mentioned the notification bubble stays bouncing in the top right corner.
