Proton games will become unresponsive unless another window is overlayed on the game itself

Hello,

I've been having an issue since sometime October 2025, where when I launch ANY steam game that requires proton to launch, it will become incredibly laggy, (<0.1 FPS) and unresponsive on launch. However, if I have another window overlayed on the game itself, such as setting the terminal to "always on top", or holding ALT+TAB, it runs perfectly smooth. I am using Proton 10.0-4. Thanks
