Error Reaching Mailserver with Gmail IMAP

I have had mail2most running for a while without issue, but recently stopped getting my notifications. When running mail2most I am the following error in the logs. I have tested all of my login data and they work without issue.

Error reaching mailserver Error="Invalid credentials (Failure)" Server="imap.gmail.com:993"

Has anyone else had this issue? Is this due to google stopping support for "less secure apps"? If so, is there any planned addition of Oauth?

Currently the benefit of mail2most is that it runs without dependencies fully under your control as a service. By introducing oauth2 It looks that I need to introduce at least a redirect service to fulfill the authentication flow and need to introduce a cloud based resource for mail2most. I could put this into mail2most itself but that would heavily increase the configuration effort on user side.
If I find some time I may dig into it a bit deeper but it looks that all authentication flows without a callback url are deprecated.
