Transition to Mailing List for WATcloud Compute Cluster Announcements

We're transitioning the WATcloud compute cluster's announcement system from GitHub Discussions to a mailing list.

As part of this change, you'll receive GitHub notifications that you’ve been removed from the watcloud-compute-cluster-users team. This is expected and requires no action on your part.

All future announcements will be sent via the new mailing list. Your emails have been automatically subscribed, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the instructions included at the bottom of each email. When your account expires, your email will also be automatically removed from the list.

An initial announcement has been sent earlier today through the new mailing list.

We also discovered a bug in our GitHub provisioning logic: expired users weren’t automatically removed from the GitHub team, which meant you may have continued to receive notifications if you hadn’t unsubscribed manually. This has now been resolved. Expired accounts will no longer be added to the new mailing list.
