In the same way that we can currently directly diagonalise the polariton Hamiltonian for an arbitrary potential in realspace (i.e. with closed boundary conditions), I want to be able to directly diagonalise the polariton Hamiltonian for arbitrary periodic potentials (i.e. periodic boundary conditions).
