"Default to original audio track" not working

Videos with multiple audio tracks aren't being affected by "Default to original audio track" being activated.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'A video with multiple audio tracks'
2. Click on 'The play button'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
"Default to original audio track" should change the audio to the original track.

a video to test on would be nice, I think it's an inconsistent behavior of the feature being enabled. I tested on this one from the original issue requesting the feature and it worked https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwlRf75hJMw

Thank you, I do think in some cases it doesn't work for some reason but it isn't always that way so fixing it might be hard.

new version takes almost two weeks to be reviewed on firefox it's been 6 days

Out of curiosity how long does it take for Google to accept the updates to this extension. My patience with Firefox is running thin.

My guess is that it picks the first audio track (Arabic).

for me it picked English 🤷 Like I said it's finicky

In this short it's using the AI dub, and if I change the url to use the normal player it switches to original like it's supposed to:

the feature isn't meant to work with shorts at this moment I can change that. I'm busy working on major changes to make things much easier when adding features going forward
