Issues with Z/M values in layers

It would appear that QRectangleCreator can not operate on layers with Z/M values, at least those provided by the Memory Layer provider.

QRectangle Creator: The current layer is not of Polygon or Multipolygon type. The Object has not been added.

Can this be addressed?

I know it has been over 4 years, but I have a version that allows using ZM layer types:
