Units only display in m

Hello, I have noticed that the tool will only create polygons based of measures in m. I would like to generate them in feet.

I have changed the measurement units in the project properties to feet and linear distance and area calculations are in feet and square feet, respectively. I cannot figure out why the tool only allows for inputs in m.

Am I doing something wrong here?
