WebSocket Issues on the VMs

Description

Currently, there are issues with the API. An error was thrown when trying to connect to localhost. The current assumption is that the version is outdated.

Steps to reproduce

Boot up Abacus. Connect to localhost. Open up the console log and notice all the issues.

Expected result

No errors should be showing up.

Actual result

API issues are logged.

This issue appears to be resolved when running locally and logged in but not on the VM's.
