User Onboarding #7
Description
Onboarding is the process of making the user familiar with the app's features. For our onboarding flow, we'll need to do the following:
- Give a friendly introduction to the app's major feature (uploading a post and generating relevant metadata)
- Provide a call to action to "Try now" or "Get started" but not "Sign up"
- Offer a link to sign-in for users that already have an account
It's important that the onboarding be as painless as possible. That's why we will not force sign up for the app and will only encourage it once the user has shown interest - after the user uploads their first post.
Also, we discussed using a screen with a carousel that shows app functionality (@jafrilli should know what I'm talking about). Each screen should have some kind of useful image and a brief description. It should automatically advance and be swipeable.
