Access with Javascript: cross domain requests?

I am trying to use the API with Javascript, but it seems to be disallowed by the server policy.

👍 on this. My use case: I'd like to add a query to my personal webpage to query a specific library and put in the paper count, for example. I think that's not possible at all right now because I'd also need a token and no anonymous API access is allowed, right?
