0.5 v on Samsung Galaxy A52 5G AND on Xiaomi Redmi 14 pro downloading llm stops and cant be found when continuing downloading
So on 2 different phones Samsung and Xiaomi
Downloading Gemma E2B model
Dont use phone- wait until it turns off screen and lock
Open phone
Open app
Again download available
But it didnt start fresh- it continued downloading
But turns out something got bad since
Pressing Use model shows notification gray on bottom saying cant find model

That wasnt like that on 0.2 and 0.3
I did download and phone went to sleep and again i pressed download and it worked when continued and finished download and USE model worked.

Thanks, this was a real bug.

I traced the resume path and found that if the server ignored the Range header and returned 200 OK, PokeClaw could append a full response onto the old partial .downloading file. That leaves a corrupted model on disk, which matches the later "can't find model" / "Use model" failure you saw after the download appeared to finish.

I patched main in commit 58932c0 to:

• restart from scratch if the server does not honor resume
• reject oversized or incomplete partial files before marking the model as downloaded
• only treat built-in models as present when the final file size is sane

This is not in a public release yet. Please keep the issue open until the next public build is out and we can confirm it on-device.
