Menu bar obscures input boxes on Android 16

Works fine on earlier versions of Android, but on Pixel 9 phone the black menu bar obscures the text input boxes. If I juggle portrait and landscape modes I can just about change the lock pin, but I can't get to input/add a phrase

That looks really bad.

The UI is still the same as what I designed more than 10 years ago! I need to rewrite it with the newest Android guidelines.
