I believe I've uninstalled all mods that were listed as "Conflicting mods" on the mod page. However I'm still getting an error upon loading my save and while the game does not outright crashes, my sewage system does not seem to be functional and my Industries DLC industry zones are missing.

I did that, but I still have the same ingame issues. I did not have Loading Screen Mod Revisited initially, but I installed it just for testing.

I've loaded and run that savegame without any issues. Water is working fine and "Prospect Sawmill" and "Holly Oil Group" areas are present, and no errors are thrown.

I couldn't find the area in your screenshot there, though (no ore area and no intersection matching the one shown). Can you confirm that it's the correct save?

Well uhm... It is the correct city, but somehow it is an earlier version of the save. Not sure how that's possible as now I doublechecked and I did upload the correct file. There aren't even more files with the same name on my drive.

Alright, reproduced; there is some invalid data serialized into the save. Was it previously used with the original 81 tiles mod, or with EML Beta?

ETA: After I recreate the missing district and save the game, is reloading fine without issues.

It was used with the original 81 tiles mod ( this one ) until until the latest DLC release broke that mod.

I've just released the 0.7 update, which includes an option to 'ignore 81 tiles data' when loading from a save. Can you try using that option?

No luck, unless I'm doing something incorrectly.

Here is what I did:

• Load the same save file I linked previously (freeplay25_b.crp) (otherwise I have no access to this new "ignore data" option)
• Do not unpause the city
• Check the "ignore data" option in the mod options
• Close the mod settings, go to Load, load the same freeplay25_b.crp file again

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work.

I also tried:

• Starting New Game initially
• letting it run for a few seconds
• checking the "ignore data" option
• and then loading freeplay25_b.crp

If I do this then I get stuck on a (presumably) infinite loading screen with the loading animation going: not even Alt+F4 actually quits, I have to kill the process.

A second-load from within the game won't work - when using mods, you should never second-load from within the game. Always exit to desktop between loads. That advice is given in all guides to using mods, and is assumed knowldege.

If you've been doing that, then I think we may have found the source of your file corruption. The original 81 tiles mod definitely didn't like it when that happened.

The option should be visible when you go into the options panel in the main menu, before you load any save. If it's not there, can you post a screenshot of how the mod's options panel is appearing to you in the main menu?

No, I haven't been doing this actually. I know how this is going to sound, but yesterday the first thing I tried was to use the mod options in the main menu, but the "81 tiles 2 0.7" tab was completely empty. This is why I loaded a save initially, because that made the tab fill up with options.

Anyway, now I tried:

• Opening the game, going to mod options from the main menu this time, check the ignore data option
• load into freeplay25_b
• unpause the city

But I am also willing to accept that this issue somehow only affects me, in which case I might just eventually start a new city instead. As you implied, it very well might not even be an issue with your code, rather than just some interaction or bug in other mods that I've used in the past on this particular save. If it turns out that someone else also has this issue, or if you still feel like debugging, then we can come back to it, but otherwise I won't hold it against you if you close this issue for now under "user error" :D

That simulation error appears to be specifically due to an error in your save's (non-expanded) water unit array; I presume that the original 81 tiles mod saved some corrupted data (I've had one other user with the same problem). The good news is that if you click through that error, the invalid data will be overwritten with the normal progression of the WaterManager simulation.

More importantly, are the other issues that you described - missing industry zones, non-functioning water simulation - resolved with this?
