How to get the last/end frame before playing a video?

I dont see anything function to move to end. But perhaps try video.length().
Why jump to end and then play, if i may ask?

@schroef Thanks for the answer. I need this functionality too. To answer your question, say you have an animation that you want to frame seek backwards and forwards depending on where the user is in a sequence. You may need to start at the end and animate back to the start and why you need to get to the last frame.

Here's the best way that I have found.

vid.currentTime = vid.duration.toFixed(2);

I think there's a floating point issue that might be used to generate the duration. The problem is that sometimes the duration reported in the video object is milliseconds longer than the actual duration, and if you specify a currentTime that is greater than the actual duration, then the seek will not work and will remain 0 or whenever the video is currently set. To fix this, rounding to the 2nd decimal seems to get you to the to the very last frame. At least in webkit.

This gives the last time, right? But not the last frame if I'm not wrong. How would you convert it back to a frame number? I guess one could try to divide it by the frame rate and round it to get an integer, but I'd be afraid to do something wrong.
