status of this project

I saw the presentation ( http://www.slideshare.net/dscrankshaw/veloxampcamp5-final ) and read the paper ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1409.3809 ). The whole concept (and architecture) of velox is very appealing, but looking at the project activity over the last 7 months, there seems to be no activity. As such I was wondering if this is abandoned, perhaps in favor of something else? Or is the intention still to develop this further? I assume the current code-quality is still regarded as "alpha", thus not production ready?
