[Data] segementation data is not updated on ^1.30

We recently moved from package 1.2.0 to 1.4.2 and we noticed that the [data] attribute is no longer sending segmentation data.
Tested on 1.3.0 and 1.4.0 reveals the same issue. Reverting back to 1.2.0 and data is send again (as per documentation)
