Description
About the new preprint repository
LatArXiv is a multidisciplinary platform that offers a preprint service, focused on disseminating and making early versions of research works citable. LatArXiv is an open platform with the goal of spreading and achieving early positioning of research conducted mainly in the Latin American context. LatArXiv can also include preprint publications from a broader context such as the Ibero-American and from other geographical regions, but with a focus on the study of the Latin American context.
Different journals that meet the objectives of LatArXiv and wish to do so, can request a dedicated URL for their preprint contributions by acquiring a membership. Authors who wish to make a preprint article available that is not being evaluated in any of our affiliated journals can do so freely and immediately through this means. Authors have the possibility to update their works, as long as the updated content has not been published online. The contents on LatArXiv are not subject to peer review, but can receive feedback from readers.
LatArXiv preprints are created directly from the author's original files and are not modified before posting. We conduct a basic screening for plagiarism, offensive language, non-scientific, and inappropriate content, and we will exclude materials that may pose a health or security risk if identified. Beyond this screening, the files are unedited and are not peer reviewed. Please see our Policies for more information.
LatArXiv publishes original and refereeable articles, covering the following types: article, review, conference paper, data descriptor, essay, short report, case report, communication, short note, technical note or hypothesis. Other types of articles may be accepted at the discretion of the editorial team. The following are not published: editorials, discussion papers, and coursework. Papers are accepted in the following languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.
