selection of multiple packages in search results with Shift+Click not working

When I want to select a consecutive number of items in a list of search results holding Shift while clicking the last item of the range to be selected this selects only the item I click, not the ones in between - so the same action as is to be expected (and which also happends) with holding Ctrl.
To reproduce for example

• search for linux66
• click one list entry
• click an entry further down the list while holding Shift
• result:
