XBT SOOP file format update review

I have created an updated netCDF file format version for XBT and XCTD data. The code to build these files from historical files is still in development (XBTnewNCFormat branch in my fork).
We also have code to convert our incoming files from current data collection to this new format. Once finalised and approved, this will be the format we send to AODN for future data collections.
Attached a text dump of sample nc file. I can email the actual nc file if required.

1. Can you please review for any obvious issues?
2. Will the current architecture handle these files, or should we wait for the new architecture before delivery?
