MIDIUSB Examples Won't Compile

Hello,

I'm using the latest 64-bit Arduino 1.6.6 and in all of the example sketches I get the error:

'midiEventPacket_t' was not declared in this scope

I'm running the 4.2.5 kernel on Arch Linux. Please advise if you have any tips for troubleshooting, I'm not sure what else to do.

Hi @hyshka , that's quite strange since midiEventPacket_t is defined in MIDIUSB.h
What sketch are you trying to compile?

Yes, I seen that in the source code, so I am unsure what's happening.

I've tried compiling MIDIUSB_Loop, MIDIUSB_Write, and MIDIUSB_Read.

Ok, you are trying to compile for an Arduino nano with an ATMEGA328 which doesn't have a builtin USB capabilities, so the library won't work.
Supported platform are 32u4 (Leonardo, Micro), SAM (Due) and SAMD (Zero),
You can still use normal MIDI library and use the embedded serial-to-usb chip to emulate a MIDI device
