There's no explicit -lreadline linking directive used here. And no uses of static version definition(s).
Furthermore, there's no #include <readline/readline.h> directive used.
This means you have to make driver depedencies by your system's environment.

Summarizing all that has been said:

• There's no static depedency to Readline-6.0
• You must prepare your environment before building driver sources
