Hints and units in GUI

E.g. "Initial Frequency: " Should indicate that the units are MHz.
Date/time fields have hints for the format, but they disappear when you click in the field.

I should focus on this one first. It feels to be the most important.

I am thinking of having them on the side of the bar where we are putting the numbers.
