Currently, the KNX integration in Homey requires creating one device per switch button. For larger installations this quickly becomes unmanageable.
In my case, I have 25 switches, which results in a very large number of unnecessary devices in Homey. This makes the device list cluttered and harder to use.
Feature request:
Please add support for having multiple switches (or channels) within the same device, instead of forcing one device per switch. This would:
- Keep the device list in Homey much cleaner and easier to navigate.
- Reflect the physical installation more accurately (e.g., a 6-button wall switch should be represented as one device with 6 controllable switches).
- Improve usability for end-users by reducing unnecessary device duplication.
Example use case:
A wall switch with 6 buttons currently shows up as 6 separate devices in Homey. With this feature, it could instead be a single device with 6 switch entities inside it.
Additional context:
I am attaching a screenshot that shows a single room where one 6-button switch currently appears as 6 separate devices, which illustrates how cluttered this becomes in practice.
