Feature parity: Terraform Cloud Support

Presently Rover 2 only supports Azure for terraform backend state. Rover v1 supported Terraform Cloud. If we are aiming for feature parity we also need to include support for it.

This would be a lot of effort, and investigation would be required.

Reasons

• Rover v1 has support for it
• Is it really needed or still used?

Notes / Considerations

• It's going to be a lot of work
• Devs would need Terraform Cloud accounts

Outcomes

• Support for Terraform Cloud in some seamless fashion
• If not seemless, maybe new flags or top level commands
• Updates to the terraform init sections where state is handled
