Bazaar background processes seem to be regularly consuming a lot of memory - hundreds of MB. See this comment from @itsHanibee for more details.
The gnome-software background service here on my system has only 150MB and it actually handles much more (flatpaks and regular rpm packages, system updates, firmware updates etc.). Maybe the memory consumption of Bazaar could be improved?
