Possible bug: SmoothGeomPiece and derived objects

Changes to how pSize is used to compute the particle volume may have caused breaking changes to the SmoothGeomPiece derived classes.

The r1, r2, r3 calculations need to be reconsidered to make them compatible with the rest of the code.
