Psalm tone tool algorithm

It seems that the English option in the psalm tone tool only places the psalmody accents on the stressed syllables, following the same algorithm that works for Latin.

The problem, as I see it, is that when an oxytone appears as the last word of a hemistich, the algorithm simply places the accent on the last syllable and disregards the last cadence note, making it sound as if the psalmody hadn't yet finished.

I created a script that uses melismas to address this issue for Portuguese psalms. It might be an option, and I would appreciate it if it could be considered.

Since I only know how to program in Python, I don't know how to implement it.

I finally did something with this. Take a look at https://bbloomf.github.io/jgabc/psalmtone?experimental and it will try to do things this way. I put it behind the experimental parameter for now because I'm a little worried about the possibility of breaking something else, since this is code that I haven't touched for 12 years.

Excellent! I'm currently working in JS, I refined the algorithm for psalms in Portuguese and implemented it in this project.

As far as I know, English syllabification and stressed syllables are more irregular and I don't have as much knowledge to work with, but later I can try to help with the implementation.

For me, Augustinus is helping a lot with making the responsorial psalm for my Sunday service at mass.
