Oh I just got it: one of the monster's patterns had an s at the end I didn't match.

But 1123 isn't very descriptive :)

Well that's weird, it should have said "Eek! Your regex failed to hit Hello worlds and he ate you up." (1123 is a string later in the game). What did I do. Will fix. Thanks!

I didn't read the code, but a while ago I had some problems with how the characters were escaped.
