I'm working day to day with Apache Camel myself, and I'm a bit fan of it.
Try not to mimick Spring XML DSL, otherwise native JS DSL would be great :)

yep, you are perfectly right. That was just a first try to see how it could be done, but of course native JSON should be ok.
Once the holidays are over I plan to pick up on this project again :)
