E2E keys creation error

I'm using IMAP auth with a corporate email domain to provide transparent UX.
The "create_users" option is true.

When using Element web-client for the user's first login via email there's some mess with the key creation process.

E2E key creation should not be related to user authentication, can you provide further details of the error you are seeing?

I have the same problem when logging in with element on synapse version 1.45. A message pops up and says that's impossible to create keys.
