iOS background updates/notifications

Hi Brian,

Nice, clean and simple iOS app, I like it. I tried to reach out on facebook though, as I am really interested in getting background banner notifications for changes to subscribed topics.
This excellent page summarizes the challenging part.

I don't have the iOS development experience or environment (although I could learn it if push came to shove). I wanted to check with you first if you might be interested in adding this?

Thanks. Yes, iOS really like to put the app to sleep once it goes into the background. I spent some time looking into how to keep communication going in the background. But hadn't yet found a good approach. I haven't seen this article. I'll take a look.
