document how to use webworks build hooks to compressing js & css files

I would like to see this as well. @kwallis - if you're looking at ways to do so, perhaps integration of a build process system, or simply hook points to call user supplied scripts would allow the kind of flexibility that developers are looking for.

For example, in the last version of the build script for WebWorks 1.0, there are events fired at each stage of the build process so that additional tasks can be hooked in.

The CLI should fit well into other build automation tools like ANT or Grunt. It also provides hooks already, though they are poorly documented. A fairly good tutorial can be found here:

All that said, I agree it would be good to provide integration with other build tools, but I see that through perhaps grunt extensions, rather than directly in CLI. Thoughts?

That's some pretty powerful stuff that I had no idea about.

If we just document this with some examples it should work well - there's probably dozens of ways to do compression/minification alone, so we won't pick one that works for everyone. It looks like everything you could possibly need is there, so diverging our CLI just to add it doesn't make much sense for maintenance or consistency.
