I tried to cut a box using lasercutoutBox(), but the outside of the box are sometimes the top of the cut wood and sometimes the bottom.
As laser cutters burn the top side more than the bottom (and invariably there is smoke debris on the top), the boxes look strange as some sides are cleaner than others.
Also if the material is plywood, where the bottom and top of the material are not identical, (quite often plywood has different grades of laminate on the top and bottom), this also makes the box look strange
The work around is to manually modify the DXF output to mirror some of the sides, so that all appear the same way up.
i.e arrange your pieces in your favorite DXF editor, so that the box looks like its been mildly exploded and laid flat
