I have a SCPH-5552, I installed freepsxboot-unirom-fastload-20220919-bios-3.0-1997-01-06-E-d786f0b9 onto the memory card (I tried both port 1 and 2 options) using a ps2 and Memory Card Annihilator which shows the card flashing ok
I get the normal memory card screen on the psx and it does not boot into freepsxboot. Any help?
