Seperation from .net?

During September 07 - 18, weatherscan.net changed to say "Zito Media" and then weatherscan.me appeared, and live.weatherscan.net changed from Weather Ranch to Mist Streaming.

What happened? Did someone have an argument and decided to spilt the two websites?
