could we make it more powerful, not jusr wrap of hypr.conf? for example, the keybind may can bind to a lua function instead of string of dispatch.

Yes, my idea was to move from the hypr.conf wraper to a C Bindings library, we could then call C code from lua, similar to what we do on https://github.com/luaposix/luaposix

I want to make something like hammerspoon on macos, but I am not good at cpp. So now I just tried to use socket and cmdline tool to do it. If you need someone to help with lua code, I am willing to help.

If you check https://github.com/cacarico/hyprlua/blob/main/src/lua/monitors.cpp#L76-L79 it already adds monitor

Yes, with a Lua runtime we would be able to extend Hyprland using Lua.
I was extremely busy the past quarters so had no time to work on this project, I will give it a bit of attention this next weeks
