Questions from Vonage

Hello,

At Vonage, as part of the Ericsson family we are actively growing our Network API business. I am the Sr. Product Manager for both Population Density Data (PDD) and Regional Device Count (RDC). We are currently in development of these APIs and plan to begin PoC trials later this year. I have some questions that I need your help understanding:

1. It would be helpful to understand the details around how the extrapolation of the data is done based on a single MNO's data for an area. That is, if one MNO is available in a given area how is the data modified to provide a estimation of the total numbers. My understanding is that it is done based on the MNO's market share, but how granular is that relation. Is it the market share of the whole country that is used no matter the size of the area the data is requested for? If it is not done by market share, what is the mechanism?
2. Is there a standard algorithm for estimating the population from the device count taking into account IOT devices, children, the elderly, multiple device ownership, etc.? If so, please provide an explanation of how that algorithm works.
3. What are the limitations around the size of the polygon defined? How does the size of the polygon play into the latency of the API response? What is the expected latency?
4. What is the frequency that the APIs can be called?
5. I know that RDC currently supports a circle as the defined area to process. Are there plans to have a circle also supported by PDD? If so, when?
6. Why are these broken into 2 APIs rather than 1 API giving all of the data from each?
7. Is it true that the start/stop date/times for each of these APIs can only be in the future or can they also be historical? Are there time limits on when the start/stop times can be? That is, something like you can only go 3 months into the past/future?
8. Are there plans in the future to return this data based on the number of subscriptions in the area rather than device counts?
9. Is it safe to assume that the answers to the questions above will be the same for both PDD and RDC?
