The dashboard serves as a good overview and high level tracker, but there's a disconnect from our day-to-day: the agreed tasks need to be worked into the roadmap and backlogs.
The dashboard also has all the detail about each particular task that needs to be executed.
An integration with JIRA could streamline the process by:
- populating an Epic and its tasks with the agreed objectives each cycle, along with detailed work descriptions and references
- tracking completion of the tasks and marking "candidate" for final review with the documentation practice
A similar flow was introduced for our SSDLC efforts, though it's a less complex (fewer variables when deciding on scope) story, and lives in a JIRA automation as a result.
