I suggest we can also group people with similar interests by having a tag on their profile. Let's consider a case where there's a contest related to cp and the students need to find a team mate. Then this search option would be helpful.

I think there should be different category for scholarships like for school students, undergraduates, postgraduates, etc so it will be very helpful to find a scholarship easily.
and also there would be some floating notices of recent scholarships.

Suggestion: It would be really helpful if you could open separate issues for wireframing of separate components. As everyone is not always good at both designing and coding and this will also help you to keep a single theme on all the components.

I have many suggestion,But at first we should improve out home page little bit,
According to me , We have to show some glimps of latest blogs,latest scholarships,high rated mentor in Home page. it's a better UX.
Currently there is only About and the topSection is there.
