Hey, I’m having trouble finding a certain image in ui.package, which is supposed to be The Sims 2 logo on the neighbourhood selection screen. I noticed right away that I can only filter by file type and that’s it…
Looking in EP9/UI/ui.package shows that the title screen sims 2 logo is there but I cannot find the neighbourhood selection logo, and I also cannot search by instance since there isn’t an option to, which makes finding said resource more difficult than it should be, and onto my next point…
IMG files cannot be previewed in the YAPE program. Instead a hex editor will display, meaning that to view any images with the “IMG” tag, you’ll need to export them in order to see what they look like. This isn’t needed with SimPE, where you can preview them without needing to export them first.
I really appreciate this program however as it’s pretty much the only way to view and edit package files on Linux/Steam Deck without needing to install SimPE and a bunch of dependencies! :)
