Linux HiDPI Support

Hi,
jdotxt UI (text and icons) is tiny on hidpi screen (Linux mint + cinnamon).
i would like to increase either pixel ratio or font-size.

don't know if this is related to Java settings or to jdotxt,
searched in java settings but did not find.
Maybe someone around experienced this and is able to fix this ?

I'm by no means an expert on this, however I've got this working usably on my HiDPI linux 16.04 machine. (Some of the settings screens look rather big, but the main page looks fine). The answer appears to be to use Java 9. I used instructions along the lines mentioned on this page. I hope this helps you or anyone else having the same problem!
