DB container fails with permissions error

After building the containers and trying to run the server with docker-compose up, I am consistently getting the following error:

Starting railspostgresdocker_db_1 ... 
Starting railspostgresdocker_db_1 ... done
Starting railspostgresdocker_web_1 ... 
Starting railspostgresdocker_web_1 ... done
Attaching to railspostgresdocker_db_1, railspostgresdocker_web_1
db_1   | chmod: changing permissions of '/var/lib/postgresql/data': Operation not permitted
railspostgresdocker_db_1 exited with code 1

I've Googled around and can see some other people have issues with it, and wondered if you'd managed to fix this?

Hmm, I just did a fresh clone and build and didn't run into that. What OS are you running on?

I'm on MacOS Mojave w/ Docker version 19.03.5 build 633a0ea

I am running Ubuntu 18.04.4 w/ Linux 4.15.0-76-generic, using Docker version 19.03.5, build 633a0ea838.
